Q: Why do I
have to pay money to get it? A: Your entry fee
pays for LAN party expenses (i.e. location rent, network switches,
servers, software, extension cords, power strips, cat5 cables,
tables, etc.). However most of our past events have been at no
additional fee. Once you have paid for admission to the Convention
the LAN Gaming has been free. We do have several paid and unpaid
events scheduled but this is usually dependent on the Convention it
self if and what the Fee may be for Gaming access.
Q: Do I have to be in a clan to attend?
A: No, a lot of people show up that are not in a
clan. You can play whatever games you wish to play with others. If
you wish to participate in the tournaments, you can easily join a
throw together team or get picked up to play for a short handed
team.
Q: I am not very good at video games but I enjoy
playing them, should I come?
A: Of course, anybody who enjoys playing
multiplayer games and has a computer should attend our LAN Parties.
Q: Am I required to play in the tournaments?
A: No, when you are at the event you can choose
which tournaments you wish to play in or choose NOT to play in any
of them.
Q: I am going to be late for the event start
time, is that ok?
A: That is perfectly fine, you may show up at
any time the event is currently in progress. But you should be there
a little early before a tournament you want to play in starts, if
you are late for the tournament start time you will not be able to
play in that tournament.
Q: Do you provide computers for me to play on?
A: Yes SEADS will supply a Limited Number of
Gaming Rigs at our events but , you should consider bringing
your own computer to participate in our LAN Party. Please review
what to bring.
Q: What games are all played there?
A: Please review Updates and
Games Played.
Q: What does your network consist of?
A: Our network is a 10/100/1000Mb full duplex
switched network. We have one or more powerful servers that run our
dedicated game servers. Our network may be connected to a high speed
Internet connection depending on the location and fee (if any) to
play. Should The Internet be available at one of our events this
will run through a server thus allowing us to monitor
network traffic and pin point problem computers. Most of our events
use a static IP address for your Computer (configured by SEADS
Staff) DHCP may or may not be provided by
router designed to allow access to the Local Area Network (LAN). We
also usually offer wireless access via the same router for those
guests using a Lap Top computer in or around out LAN Room.
Q: Is there an age restriction for your events?
A: Our events are open to all ages, although if
you are under 18 you may need to have your parents/guardian sign
the waiver and bring it with you to the LAN Party. You can get a
copy of the waiver in our Flyer & Waiver section.

Q: How is the seating determined? If we are late
will their be two adjacent seats left? How early do people usually
get there?
A: Seating is determined by first come basis,
their will be a lot seats available, so finding two adjacent seats
should be easy. If one of you shows up early you can save a seat
for your friend or team. Attendees usually start showing up as soon
as we open the doors.
Q: Are guests allowed to visit the event?
A: Yes, guests are allowed, although they can't
stay for an unforeseen amount of hours. |
