If ye are having troubles
accessing certain files this is due to the following.
Hail the and well met the true gamers that venture to these pages. S.E.A.D.S.
RPG Pages have recently been contacted by an individual
claiming to represent Wizards of the Coast and it seems he is not happy with the intricate works
of this site as we have incorporated several items that are now the property of Hasbro formerly Wizards
of the Coast Formally TSR. It seems Hasbro does not have enough money owning the largest gaming
publisher in the hobby to the best of my knowledge. It seems the certain
individual whom Identifies himself
as David Wise, RPG Clubs and Subsidiary Rights Director for Wizards
of the Coast. Due to this in connivance
we are in the process of revamping our web site. All Gaming items that were previously downloadable
from this site are temporarily being moved to a privet section on our
site that will only be accusable via
authorized DMs and associates of S.E.A.D.S. RPG Pages. Once the issue
is resolved we shall attempt to direct
our web guests to the proper channels in order to access the aforementioned items. E-commerce
site and other sources where they may purchase our products if they like, I personally am very
disappointed with this decision of Wizards of the Coast but they are in business to make money . Free downloads
are still available at:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/DnDDownloads_classics.asp
Wizards of the
Coast does offer a electronic download area where Wizards of the Coast
can charge a fee for the products they do not wish
to continue production of for there own reasons. I personal will no longer
support Wizards of the Coast and
will not be purchasing any more of their products in the upcoming campaign
I run. This is my decision but I
feel I would like to encourage the same amongst our web guests. We as
a group and as hobbyists should let
our feelings be known to this above mentioned individual and the corporation
who believes limiting access to
their products is the why to keep there business on top. Personally I
know of dozens of other gaming sources that
are free to the general public and supported by the general public. TSR
in their hey day were a highly talented
and creative group but once Wizards of the Coast purchased the rights
to TSR the quality of products being
released dwindled as Wizards seemed more concerned with there Magic
cards which have falling in popularity
over the past few years. Next Wizards created Poke Mon cards and went with this product line. Now
with the release of 3rd edition gaming systems to their Advanced Dungeons
and Dragons line Wizards is attempting
to limit our access to the older system we have used for years and promoting there newest gaming system
the d20 line. I believe this will be just another nail in Wizards coffin
but only time will tell. I have
played 3rd Edition games and the gaming system is a bit easier once you
spend hours relearning how to game but
all previous products are very difficult to convert to 3rd edition rules
and a gamer using 3rd edition rules must
repurchase all of the books and modals in order to continue with the 3rd edition gaming. I personally
have probably over $3000.00 worth of 2nd edition products and the yare all virtually useless in a 3rd edition
campaign If you would like to voice your opinion to David Wise he may be contacted at:
